Most Loaded Sharpening Stone in a YouTube Knife Sharpening Video
December 03, 2015 07:48AM
I was watching sharpening videos on YouTube while knife sharpening last night, which is one of my favorite things to do, and I noticed that in the two videos I watched, both of the persons doing the sharpening, the stones were very loaded, so I thought to make a contest of how many videos we can post of loaded sharpening stones, I'll start:
Sharpening Serrated Knife Blades Spyderco Sharpma…:

How To Sharpen the Spyderco Dragonfly 2 EDC Knife…:

I can't get the YouTube to embed. I used the marklet you showed me, maybe it's my browser, I am on my phone. I originally used the forum tool, which is like the marklet, but looks like this:
{url} comment http: ..... {/url}

And the one I used from you looks like:

{url=https:YouTube video} comment {/url}

Hmm, when I use the forum tool links look like
{url=http...} comment {/url}
apparently for embedding you can't use the shortener youtu.be , forum software doesn't recognize it
you gotta use the HTTP :// youtube dot com/v/ze7UlDqCKOE
the {video} tag is optional (for youtube at least)

That video tag comes out from the tool like:
video: [How To Sharpen the Spyderco Dragonfly 2 EDC Knife…]

and the script looks like:
{video} comment [youtu.be] {/video}

I am also using my old browser, the one I downloaded doesn't support flash.

It will not recognize https as a video, you have to cut out the s, nor can you use the shortened YT link.

Its not that I don't believe you smiling smiley there all kinds of oddball browsers out there doing weird things
but you do see what the results look like when you preview right?
this is the link that results
{<a href="http ://How To Sharpen the Spyderco Dragonfly 2 EDC Knife…: {}">How To Sharpen the Spyderco Dragonfly 2 EDC Knife…</a>]
you can't click that link

To see what you originally typed I have to login and click quote to reply to your posting.

You're better off not trying to use "{url}" tags or "{video}" tags and just posting urls instead

It will not recognize https as a video, you have to cut out the s, nor can you use the shortened YT link.

if you're interested its should be simple to fix by editing the latest update to bbcode_video.php
change      http:\/\/
into        https?:\/\/
https? means the s is optional so it will match http or https

Youtube has dropped the flash based video embeddings they no longer work,
so phorum/bbcode_video needs update
to either switch to iframe
or stop trying to embed videos and just turn them into links
